UPSET WATCH
Texas A&M over Auburn
The Aggies are looking to bounce back after a bad showing last weekend against Mississippi State. Auburn has spoiling Alabama and Georgia's seasons on their mind and thinking SEC Championship. This could be a trap game for the Tigers. The Aggies offense will be the key to their success. If they can score against Auburn, they will give themselves a chance to win. Auburn needs to take control early or they might find themselves in a dog fight with Texas A&M's raucous 12th Man in the 4th quarter.
NC State over Clemson
The Wolfpack were so close last year and have had this one circled since then. The opportunity is there for the Wolfpack to end Clemson's chances to repeat. The Tigers bounced back against Georgia Tech but now travel to Raleigh for a big Atlantic Division showdown. A NC State win puts Clemson two games behind the Wolfpack in the Atlantic Division standings giving them complete control of their own destiny. Bradley Chubb has been the x-factor for the NC State defense and will be a headache for the Clemson offensive line. Expect a defensive game coming down to whichever offensive line can shutdown the defensive line from making plays. Should be an great one in Raleigh.
Southern Miss over Tennessee
The Volunteers have struggled and Butch Jones is on the hot seat. The pressure is on the Volunteers this weekend as the Golden Eagles come to Knoxville. Can Tennessee develop any rhythm on offense? This is the same team that almost beat Kentucky week one. Southern Miss will not be afraid. The Volunteers need to develop momentum early and try to take early control. The longer the game favors Southern Miss, the more pressure builds up for Butch Jones. A loss for Tennessee would likely end Butch Jones' tenure at Tennessee.
Virginia Tech over Miami (FL)
Mark Richt has gotten Miami back on the football map. However, they have had many close calls and really haven't played any teams as good as Virginia Tech. The Hokies are looking to get the ACC Championship as Miami poses as their biggest threat in the Coastal Division. The Hurricanes have an opportunity the next two weeks to prove to the Selection Committee they are better than their #10 ranking. There should be a lot of defense with the a quarterback leading his team to victory late in the 4th. With almost identical stats for QB's Josh Jackson and Malik Rosier, which one leads their team to victory?
Arizona over USC
Khalil Tate has arguably been this year's Sam Darnold. Last year, Darnold turned USC's season around after becoming the starting QB game 4. This year Tate became starter in game 5 and has turned the young Wildcats into a competitor in the Pac-12 with incredible offensive numbers and 4 consecutive wins. As the quarterbacks headline this battle, USC's RB Ronald Jones and Arizona's RB JJ Taylor are coming off big games from last weekend. This game will likely come down to the defense that can create turnovers and more stops. Expect a higher scoring and very entertaining game worth staying up to watch. The winner takes control of the Pac-12 South.
